This year both parcels were fermented in separate vessels to allow greater flexibility when blending. Semillon form Monty's vineyard near Kuipto Forrest and Sauvignon Blanc from the Sama?ras vineyard at Loberthal combine to produce the 2014 ARC Series Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc.
Traditionally we have uses only a small parcel of Sauvignon Blanc in the wine, however this year the blend is 55% Semillon and 45% Sauvignon Blanc. The Adelaide Hills Semillon fruit offers a mineral edge that is supported by the ripe Sauvignon Blanc characters.
An un-oaked style, displaying fresh tropical aromas undelayed by some floral citric blossom. Predominantly Semillon, the wine to show generous mouthfeel and still retains a light, crisp, fresh, clean palate.
A young, refreshing wine with lively acidity.
